The sun peeked through the clouds, painting the sky in vibrant colors. Shary and I walked hand-in- hand along the beach, the air thick with the scent of salt and earth. The village children started playing again. The adults began repairing the damage the storm had wrought. Life was slowly returning to normal. But for Shary and me, everything had changed. **(Shary's POV)** I knew that our confession in the storm had sealed our fate. We were meant to be together. I will always protect her. But I also knew that our love wouldn't be without its challenges. Lani's jealousy was a dark cloud on the horizon, and Kaimana's resentment was a simmering ember. **(Kaimana's POV)** I watched them, walking hand in hand, their faces glowing with happiness.
