**Episode 2: Shared Sunsets, Silent Promises**
**(Lani's POV - A village girl who desires Shary)**
Ugh, Moana. Always the center of attention. She thinks she’s so special, just because she talks to the ocean. I saw Shary looking at her last night, that intense look he usually reserves for carving wood or fixing nets. He deserves someone who truly appreciates him, someone who isn't always lost in her own little world. Someone like me, who has beauty, and more. I saw him near the river, i acted like im falling, just for him to caught me, but he just stared and walked away. Who does he think he is!
**(Kaimana's POV - A village boy who admires Moana)**
Moana is unlike any other girl in our village. She has a fire in her spirit, a connection to the ocean that is both beautiful and inspiring. I always get nervous when I'm around her.
Shary is so lucky. I wish she can see me the way she sees Shary, the way she smiles at him, the way her eyes light up when he talks. I want to walk with her.
Everytime im near, im trying to show off how strong i am, even flex my muscles but she never noticed. She doesn't even look at me. I will never be like shary. I hate shary!!!
**(Moana's POV)**
Shary was approaching. Just his presence made my heart sing. We sat in comfortable silence, watching the last sliver of the sun disappear below the horizon. He picked up a smooth, grey stone and handed it to me. “The ocean smoothed it,” he said, his voice a low rumble that vibrated through me. “Like time smooths the rough edges of life.” I held the stone, feeling its coolness against my palm. It was a simple gift, but it held a profound meaning.
He understood my soul.
