**Episode 12: The Lingering
Shadows**
Despite her happiness, Amanda
could not completely escape the
shadows of her past. The memories
of the abuse she had suffered at
the Hawthorne mansion still
haunted her, casting a pall over her
present joy.
Sometimes, during quiet moments,
the flashbacks would come,
unbidden and unwelcome. She
would see Richard's face, hear Mrs.
Eleanor's cruel words, and feel the
icy grip of fear tightening around
her heart.
She confided in Michael about her
past, sharing her deepest secrets
and her darkest fears. Michael
listened patiently, offering her
comfort and support.
"It's okay, Amanda," he said,
holding her close. "I know it's hard,
but you're not alone. I'm here for
you, and I'll always be here for
