The Love Of Money - Episode 131

"Bye, Jess," I said.
"Ma-"
I hung up the phone, and Helen plastered her body
against mine as she placed two fingers on my chin,
guiding my face back to hers so she could press her lips
to mine once more for a heated kiss. We continued like
that for several moments, our tongues dueling each
other, passing back and forth from one mouth to the
other for several long moments until I couldn't help
smiling into her lips. She broke the kiss and pulled back
just enough to look into my eyes. "What?"
"Thanks for that," said, chuckling. "It was fun. Cathartic,
too."
"Do you think she'll show?" Helen asked, grazing her
lips across mine once more.
"I don't know. Part of me hopes she'll just stay away.
Part of me kind of hopes she tries to show up. I guess
that's why I didn't shut her down immediately."
"Do you still have feelings for her?"
I shook my head. "No. I don't know that I ever loved
her. I liked her a lot, and she was comfortable, but
love? don't think so. Especially now."
Helen sat up but left her hand on my chest, grazing her
fingers through my sparse chest hair. "With all the
gorgeous women in your life?"
"Yeah," I said, propping myself up on one elbow. "I
mean, don't get me wrong. Jessica's a pretty girl. She
has some of the best skin you've ever seen. It's kind of
like Danni's, only more flawless. She's a little thicker
than any of the others, but I think it suits her well, and
she was always sweet."
"Until she cheated."
"Yeah. I think she's an opportunist. She was good to me
till she found something better. It reminds me a little of
Ashlee"
"Speaking of..."
I sighed and looked up at her, sure I looked as
exasperated as I felt. "I don't want to take her with me.
Especially if I'm supposed to make her feel like I'm
interested in her. That's not what this trip is."
"Marcus," Helen said, "you don't have to pursue her. She
wants you, so let her think she has a chance, but that
doesn't mean you have to make it easy for her. Let her
belleve she has to work for it."
"Meaning..."
"Meaning." Helen said, slipping my shirt off my
shoulders as she leaned forward and kissed one of
them. "You don't have to give up your fun with Erin and
Natashya. Use them to goad her on. She's easy to bait."
She began trailing little kisses down my chest, pausing
at a nipple to suckle gently on it as she looked up at
me with those icy blue eyes.
"Helen" I said, gently pushing her off me, "I would love
for you to continue, but this isn't why I asked you to
come here.
She straightened, looking puzzled, "You still don't trust
me."
"I'm getting there," I said, "but I think there's something
you can do to help that along."
"I'm listening," Helen said. I could sense her shoulders
tensing as she waited for me to explain myself.
"I'd like you to house-sit for me."
For the first time, I saw Helen wholly caught off guard;
it felt good.
"I'd like you to stay here, feed my cat, and maybe
supervise a little. I'm supposed to have some furniture
come while I'm gone." I was enjoying how her
confusion wasn't fading. "And I'd also like you to take
care of Bobbi."
She arched an eyebrow at me, and I returned her look
of intrigue with a smile. "She's going to be here any
minute. How about you go to the bathroom and
freshen up? You'll know when to come out."
Helen's smile became practically feline, but she took my
suggestion and slid off my bed.
"I wasn't lying," she said as she slinked toward the
bathroom, unbuttoning her jacket. "I'm already soaking,
so don't make me wait too long, sir."
As I watched her, I sincerely hoped I could trust her
and confident that, between Bobbi and Henry Psalter-, I
would know if she got up to anything suspicious. Bobbi
detested Helen after what she'd done with us, and I
was confident that after this week, Bobbi wouldn't
warm to her at all.
About a minute and a half later, there was a slight
knock at the door, and I got off the bed and opened it.
Bobbi stood there looking lovely in a pink corset
trimmed in lace, matching high heels, and a matching
silk ribbon around her throat. She'd applied a little lip
gloss, making them glisten in the low light of the
bedroom lamps, and had used a heavy application of
mascara and eyeliner, making her large eyes pop. She
looked up at me through them but wasn't smiling. Her
face could have been carved from stone for all the
expression she was giving me.
"I'm here, exactly how you wanted me," she said
without moving from the doorway.
"Good" I said. "Perfect timing. Come on in, Bobbi." I
opened the door, stepped aside, and gestured for her to
come in. She stared at me in rebellious silence for a
long moment and then finally moved into the room. I
shut the door behind her.
"Are you settled in?" I asked her, stepping up just
behind her.
She whirled to look at me, seemingly unfazed by how
close we were to each other. With her jaw set in
defiance, she looked me up and down with her cold
grey eyes. "Yeah, I guess it's fine."
I snorted. Judging by the state I found her in yesterday
with her friend, I suspected this was a serious upgrade
for her. 'Fine' was an understatement. I met her defiant
gaze with my own, daring her to complain about her
accommodations.
We remained like that for a full ten seconds until she
pointed at a pair of white heels lying on the floor
beside the foot of the bed. "Whose shoes are those?"
"Mine, dear, Helen said.
Bobbi whirled to look behind her and saw Helen leaning
against the bathroom door in nothing but a matching
white lace lingerie set. Her golden hair spilled over one
shoulder as she stared at the pair of us standing near
my bed. She gave Bobbi a positively feral smile.
"I understand we're going to spend the next few days
together."
