took a deep breath, feeling the weight
of their conversation settle around
them like a comforting blanket. “It's
hard to let people in sometimes,” she
confessed, her voice barely above a
whisper. “I've always been the one to
keep my walls up.” Ethan nodded, his
expression understanding. “I get that.
But sometimes, letting someone see
the real you can be liberating. It's like
building a bridge instead of a wall.”
Ava smiled at the metaphor, intrigued

time I started building some bridges.”
“Exactly,” he said, his eyes sparkling
with encouragement. “You never
