**Episode 14: A Dance and a
Revelation**
Throughout the evening, Ellie and
Liam mingled with the guests,
discreetly inquiring about Alistair
and Eliza. They learned little new
information, but they gained a
better understanding of the social
dynamics of Havenwood in the
early 1900s.
As the orchestra began to play a
slow waltz, Liam took Ellie's hand
and led her onto the dance floor.
They glided gracefully across the
floor, their bodies close together.
Ellie felt a sense of peace and
contentment wash over her. She
was finally letting go of her fears
and allowing herself to enjoy the
moment. She was falling in love
with Liam, and she didn't want to
resist it anymore.
As they danced, Liam leaned closer
to Ellie and whispered in her ear,
"I'm really glad I came here with
you tonight, Ellie. I'm having a
wonderful time."
"Me too, Liam," she said, her voice
barely audible.
Their eyes met, and they shared a
long, lingering look. The unspoken
attraction between them was
stronger than ever.
Suddenly, Beatrice approached
them, her face pale and drawn. She
looked agitated and nervous.
"Ellie, Liam," she said, her voice
trembling. "I need to talk to you.
It's about Alistair and Eliza."
She paused, then added, "I haven't
been entirely honest with you.
There's something I need to tell
you, something that I've kept
hidden for many years."
She led them to a secluded corner
of the ballroom, away from the
prying eyes of the other guests.
"Eliza didn't just disappear," Beatrice
said, her voice barely a whisper.
"She was forced to leave
Havenwood. And Alistair… Alistair
let her go."
She hesitated, then dropped a
bomb-shell. "Eliza was pregnant
with Alistair's child when she left,"
she said. "Alistair's family paid her
to go away and give up the baby.
They didn't want a scandal to
tarnish the family name."
Ellie and Liam were stunned by
Beatrice's revelation. They had
suspected that something terrible
had happened to Eliza, but they
had never imagined the truth was
so cruel. Don't forget to leave a Comment
