Episode 6: Betrayal in the Night
On the night of their escape, as
Elara packed her meager
belongings, a servant, bribed by
Alaric, slipped a sleeping draught
into her wine. She succumbed to its
effects, falling into a deep,
unnatural slumber. When she
awoke, it was to Alaric's cold,
triumphant gaze. He revealed his
knowledge of their plan, his voice
laced with venomous satisfaction.
Kaelen, he said, had been dealt
with.
Episode 7: The Scholar's Demise
Kaelen, waiting for Elara at their
designated meeting place, was
ambushed by Alaric's men. He
fought bravely, but he was
outnumbered and outmatched. He
was brutally beaten and left for
dead in the desolate woods, his
dreams of a life with Elara crushed
beneath the weight of Alaric's
power.
Episode 8: Imprisoned Heart
Elara, devastated by Kaelen's
presumed death and imprisoned
within Thorne Manor, became a
-shell of her former self. Alaric,
satisfied that he had broken her
spirit, tightened his grip on her,
isolating her from the outside
world. She was forbidden from
leaving the manor, her letters were
intercepted, her visitors screened.
She existed, but she did not live.
Episode 9: A Seed of Rebellion
Despite her despair, a seed of
rebellion began to sprout within
Elara's heart. She refused to be
completely broken, to let Alaric
extinguish the last spark of her
spirit. She began to subtly defy him,
to challenge his authority, to cling
to the memory of Kaelen as a
