**Episode 17: Echoes of Despair
(December 5, 2024)**
Despite their reconciliation, the
scars of the past few months
remained. Maya's anxiety still
lingered, a constant undercurrent of
fear and self-doubt. Ethan still
grappled with his grief, the
memories of Liam a constant
presence in his life.
One night, Ethan received a text
message from a former teammate,
inviting him to a party. He
hesitated, knowing that it was a
bad idea. But the lure of escape,
the promise of temporary relief,
was too strong to resist. He went
to the party, intending to stay
sober, but the pressure to drink
was overwhelming. He succumbed,
numbing his pain with alcohol.
Later that night, as he walked
home alone, he found himself
standing on a bridge overlooking
the river. The water below looked
cold and dark. He thought of Liam,
of the darkness that had consumed
him. A wave of despair washed
over him, a sense of hopelessness
