**Episode 18: The Breaking Point
(Again) (December 12, 2024)**
Consumed by grief and alcohol,
Ethan climbed over the bridge
railing. The wind whipped around
him, the cold seeping into his
bones. He looked down at the
water below, contemplating the
unthinkable. The silence was
broken only by the distant sounds
of traffic.
Suddenly, a voice called out his
name. Maya. She had been
searching for him, driven by a
sense of foreboding. She had seen
his text message to the teammate
and knew he was heading down a
dangerous path. She had run to the
bridge, her heart pounding with fear.
"Ethan, no!" she screamed, her
voice hoarse with desperation. He
turned to look at her, his eyes filled
with pain and confusion. "Maya, I
can't do this anymore," he said, his
voice trembling. "I miss him so
much." Maya cautiously approached
him, her hands outstretched. "I
know, Ethan," she said softly. "I
know it hurts. But you're not alone.
I'm here. We can get through this
together." She got him to step
