Episode 2: Shadows and Healing
Moana’s gift for healing was legendary.
She could mend broken bones with a
touch and soothe the most troubled
minds. Shary admired her dedication,
her selflessness. He truly cared for her.
Later that evening, under the luminous
glow of the Chatlankan moon, Shary
found himself drawn to the Shadow
Market, a place rumored to be Layla’s
haunt. The market was a kaleidoscope
of illicit goods and hushed deals. He
spotted her cloaked figure disappearing
down a narrow alleyway.
Hesitantly, he followed. He found her
surrounded by dark energy, practicing
her art. He saw how Layla's power
flowed and wanted to be a part of it
“Layla,” he whispered.
She turned, her eyes, pools of midnight,
widening slightly. “Shary. What are you
doing here?”
“I… I wanted to see you.”
Layla laughed, a low, throaty sound.
“You have Moana. Why would you
seek the company of a Shadow
Weaver?”
“That’s what I want to know,” Shary
said quietly. He knew there was
something he really wants to be with
