Episode 21: Whispers in the Wind
(Madizon POV)
I heard whispers about Shary and Layla’s separation,
the news carried on the wind like a secret. A part of
me felt a vindictive satisfaction, knowing that Layla's
plans had failed. But another part of me worried. A
wounded Layla was a dangerous Layla.
I sought out Amanuel, needing to discuss the potential
fallout. "Have you heard about Shary and Layla?" I
asked, my voice low.
(Amanuel POV)
I nodded, my face grim. "Yes. This could be bad. Layla
won't take this lying down. She'll want revenge, and
Chatlanka will be the target."
I paced the room, my mind racing. "We need to be
prepared. We need to reinforce our defenses and keep
a close eye on Layla's movements. She won't hesitate
to strike."
(Madizon POV)
"And what about Shary?" I asked, my voice filled with
concern. "He's vulnerable right now. Layla could use him
as a pawn, try to manipulate him into betraying us."
I looked at Amanuel, my eyes filled with determination.
"We need to protect him, Amanuel. He may have made
mistakes, but he's still one of us. We can't let Layla
destroy him."
