Episode 22: A Proposition of Power
(Layla POV)
The Shadow Market was my sanctuary, a place where' I
could lick my wounds and plot my revenge. Shary’s
rejection stung more than I cared to admit, but I
wouldn’t let it break me. I would use this setback to
fuel my ambition, to solidify my power.
PaRiskY approached me, his eyes filled with a strange
mixture of malice and desperation. "Layla," he said, his
voice dripping with insincerity, "I hear you've had a
falling out with Shary. Perhaps we can help each other."
(PaRiskY POV)
This was it, my chance to align myself with a true force
of power. I presented my plan, a scheme to overthrow
Chatlanka and seize control for ourselves.
"Together, we can rule Chatlanka," I said, my voice
filled with ambition. "We can create a new order, one
where' power is earned, not inherited."
(Layla POV)
PaRiskY's proposition was intriguing, a chance to
achieve my goals without relying on Shary. But I didn't
trust him. He was a snake, motivated by nothing but
self-interest and revenge.
"I'm listening, PaRiskY," I said, my eyes narrowed. "But I
need to know what you bring to the table. What
makes you think I should trust you?"
