Ethan’s POV
Few days later, after it had been confirmed that
Ethan’s dad had been taken home but confined to
a wheelchair. Ethan and I went to visit him.
He was been wheeled to the living room by a
woman I assumed was employed to be taking
care of him.
His father sat on the wheelchair, unable to move
any part of his body, not even his eyes or his head,
he was just staring like a dead man only that he
was breathing.
“Dad!” Ethan called softly, neither of us had sat.
“Excuse us.” Ethan faced the lady and said. The
lady walked away.
Ethan and I then sat, we were facing his father.
“Dad, I’m really sorry you had to live your life this
way… but I’m your son too. For the fact that my
sister and I chose to stay with mom when both of
you divorced doesn’t necessarily imply that we
hate you. Evans didn’t choose to stay with you
cause he loved you than mom, either. He does not
want you to feel lonely cause he was the last to
choose between mom and you. Dad, I’m sorry.”
Ethan buried his head cried.
I watched him and allow him mourn the
predicament of his father.
“Nurse!” Ethan called and the nurse appeared in a
jiffy. Ethan stood and said, “Please take care of my
father very well, if you are tired of it, please let me
know so I can arrange someone else.”
“Alright, sir.” The lady said respectfully.

Ethan and I walked out. A day ago, Ethan had
been invited by his dad’s lawyer to take over all
the magnanimous properties of his father at home
and abroad.
His father never wrote anyone’s name specifically
as his next of kin, he had always stated that
whoever is left alive among his blood after he had
died should take over all that he had.
At the moment, Ethan is super wealthy, we had
even moved out of the estate that we lived into a
different city.
“Are you feeling guilty?” I asked Ethan as he drives
home.
“Sincerely yes, but if I didn’t do that, all our
problems won’t be over. Though if Dad continues to
find Evans and keep going against our relationship,
he’s likely to die.” Ethan said confidently.
“Die? I think there are things I really do not know
about you, I thought you were only a shy husband
but you turned out to be a super hero.” I said and
he smirked.
